If you tasted a new Italian wine each week, it would take you 20 years!

Wine, wine, wine. Don't we all love it.

No one more so than the Italians, who have so many types of wine, it would take nearly 20 years to try them all!

Thats according to @Winefolly, who produce some great articles on wine, and most recently this fascinating article on some of the most interesting wine varietals coming out of Italy.  Have a read, and get yourself a glass... or ten.

And when your next in the restaurant, why not try something new from our wine list and ask our friendly staff if you need a bit of a hand.

Ciao!

Pasta really does make everything better!

Ciao,

If like us, you keep in touch with everything pasta related in the news, I'm sure you have seen this heart-warming story straight outta Italy!

So an elderly couple are distressed, their neighbours heard their screams and cries and thought something was up. The police arrived and found no crime or injury, just a lonely couple upset about the hate in the world they had seen on the news.

So the cops did for the elderly couple what everyone wants when they are a little upset... A huge bowl of pasta was made  they sat down to dinner and had a great conversation.

Morel of the story here.... pasta is amazing, it solves all the problems in the world ( nearly) and that cops are not all that bad ;)

Negroni Week June 6-12 2016

Negroni Week is back!

Presented by Imbibe and Campari, launched in 2013 as a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails ( and we think it’s THE greatest) and an effort to raise money for charitable causes around the world.

From 2013 to 2014, Negroni Week grew from more than 100 participating venues, to more than 1,300 participating venues around the world and more than $120,000 (US) raised for charities.

In 2015, Negroni Week took place from June 1-6, and more than 3,500 venues around the world, including us, who mixed our favourite Negroni variations and raised over $320,000 for charitable causes. This year we plan to go bigger and better and make sure you guys are all drinking Negronis!

In 2016 Negroni Week will take place from June 6-12 and the team at Pizza Autentico is pumped to get involved.  During the week of June 6th-12th we will be donating $1 per Negroni sold to Street Smart Australia. Our Classic Negroni for $16.5 featuring Four Pillar Rare Gin, Martini Rosso and Campari will be available.

So why Street Smart Australia?

Every year we take part in the Dinesmart campaign in December which is run by the team at Streetsmart supporting charities which aim to help those that are homeless.  This issue is really close our heart.  In and around Surry Hills/Darlinghurst area, you don't have to look far before you see the effect of homelessness. In one of the wealthiest parts of Sydney there is also a huge disparity of wealth and while some are indeed sipping on cocktails each and every night, there are a real number of people in Sydney struggling to get by.

You guys were super generous last year during our dinesmart campaign,  which raised over $1000, directly helping out local charity the milk crate theatre with a project.

So , during this week  (Jun 6-12), when you come in for dinner, buy a negroni, and help out someone who really needs it. We cant wait to mix some awesome drinks and be part of this great cause.

Don’t forget to keep tabs on the Negroni Week action on Imbibe’s Instagram and Twitter feeds (@imbibe) and by following the #NegroniWeek hashtag alongside us on Instagram.

And, of course, be sure to mix yourself a Negroni at home if you cant make it out.

Ciao for now.
